Research

Interdisciplinary research has always been at the heart of what we do and, 70 years later, it still is. Our research is changing the world for the better. In collaboration with our global partners, we’re tackling some of society’s most urgent problems – including global health, food security and the climate crisis.

Sector leaders in sustainability

We’re proud to be one of the first UK universities to declare a ‘climate emergency’, as well as having ambitious targets to be carbon neutral by 2030.
