Deciding to pursue education outside of your home country is a huge step! As you navigate the research, application, visa, and pre-departure processes it’s important to have someone on your side who can advocate for you to ensure you receive the best possible advice and guidance fitted to your own unique experiences. Across the Pond is here to help!
Why work with Across the Pond?
Each student advisor at Across the Pond has studied in the UK themselves! We’re knowledgeable about the UK education system, different regions of the UK, and the UK universities that we partner with. This enables us to advise students from a student mindset – we’ve all been there! We love sharing our own experiences, tips, and knowledge while also finding our students the best spot for their own academic, personal, or professional needs! You can read more about each of our student advisors.
Remaining Accessible:
Across the Pond is a free service for students! We never charge our students at any point in the process and remain focused on ensuring you receive the best unbiased advice for your situation.
Any application fees that may be experienced (requirements for these can vary depending on the programme or university you’re applying to) are paid directly to the university, or application portal (such as UCAS) at the time of applying. No payments are made to Across the Pond during these instances, and we do not make any payments on behalf of students at any time.
We also offer a range of advising tools to help with all steps of the application process including webinars, tutorials, guides, student testimonials and more! We work closely with our partner universities and develop these tools with their application expectations in mind. This helps you build the strongest application possible and increases your chances of receiving an offer.
Focus on Quality over quantity
We focus on helping students put together their best possible application. Our emphasis in supporting students is on quality not quantity. We know our university partners very well and work with them to ensure the applications our students submit are compliant with their requirements the first time around (for example including high school transcripts right away when we know they'll be requested if not provided). This ensures that the applications can be reviewed readily and thoroughly as soon as they are received and don't risk being flagged or even overlooked due to non-compliance. You want your application to stand out for all the right things, not for what's missing or has to be requested causing delays.
Supporting Your Decision:
Our advisors are here to help you understand the university and programme options available to you based on your academic and professional qualifications in addition to your academic, professional, and personal goals.
We love seeing our students succeed in the UK, and while we hope your UK experience is as amazing as our own experiences were, we understand that studying in the UK may not be the right choice for all students! Applying to UK universities does not necessarily solidify your plans to move to the UK, but by understanding the options available to you, you’ll be able to make an informed decision about whether or not the UK is the right choice for your own studies and long-term goals.
It is completely noncommittal to apply with the assistance of Across the Pond, and you can withdraw your application at any time – no matter where you are in the process.
See you soon!
We welcome students at all stages of the application process! Whether you’re looking to begin your studies in a few months, or a few years, you can be assured that our Across the Pond advisors will be here to support you and answer your questions in a professional and friendly manner.
